Moses Sumney Announces New EP ‘Softcore’

Moses Sumney Announces New EP 'Softcore'

Moses Sumney is coming back to give us new music with the announcement of his new forthcoming EP Softcore.

The California and Ghana-rasied singer-songwriter’s last album Græ was released back in May of 2020. But shortly after in December 2021, Sumney released the album’s live counterpart, Live from Blackalachia. Since then Sumney has been relatively silent on the music scene, venturing into other projects and just living life. But it’s clear that Sumney has been working all along with the announcement of his new EP.

Just last month, Sumney released a new romantically nostalgic track entitled “Vintage.” “The song underscores feelings of wanting an old relationship back – marked by love, reflection and desire,” stated a previous article from Hypebeast. “But where Sumney’s previous works have hovered in an alternative and indie space, “Vintage” takes a closer step into R&B, which is a fitting choice given the song’s focus.”

Naturally, “Vintage” is one of the songs from Softcore, which includes six tracks in total. Additionally, the artist is set to release another piece from the EP “Gold Coast” tomorrow. Moses Sumney’s new EP Softcore is slated for release on Friday, August 2 via Tuntum.
