‘Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak’ Showcases Free Demo Content Ahead of Full Release Next Week

With Monster Hunter Rise‘s first major expansion Sunbreak arriving next week, Capcom has now launched a free demo for those who might want to give the game a try, and there’s now a video introduction coming with the experience as well. As you’ll see in the clip featured above, the demo gives players a taste of what Sunbreak has to offer, including a series of bespoke quests that feature ascending difficulty levels ranging from slaying a Great Izuchi or Tetranadon to an Astalos or even Malzeno, the latest Elder Dragon to join the Monster Hunter franchise.

You’ll also get to try out the two new key gameplay mechanics coming to Sunbreak, with tutorials for both switch skill swap and switch evade. Don’t worry if you’re completely new to the game either, as the demo will also feature basic training tutorials as well as a Wyvern riding tutorial so you can learn how everything works before confronting the more formidable monsters.

For fans of the franchise, the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion will arrive on PC and Nintendo Switch on June 30.

Elsewhere in gaming, Mediatonic’s servers immediately crashed after Fall Guys launched on Xbox and Switch and went free-to-play.
