‘MLB The Show 22’ Will Release on Nintendo Switch

‘MLB The Show 22’ Will Release on Nintendo Switch

After launching from San Diego Studio on Xbox last year, 2022’s installment on MLB The Show will include an expansion to Nintendo Switch. This year’s installment will include new features and more difficulty options.

Nintendo Switch players can also face off against Xbox and PlayStation owners in the baseball game’s cross-platform multiplayer mode. Via cross-platform integration, players can earn and save any content across platforms and generations and transfer it to a different console.

Los Angeles Angels player Shohei Ohtani, who has been nicknamed “Shotime,” is the cover star for MLB The Show 22. Last season, Ohtani hit 46 home runs and had 100 RBI’s and 26 base steals. In the announcement, Ramone Rusell, Head of Product Development Communications at San Diego Studio, credited Ohtani with having “one of the greatest seasons in the history of Major League Baseball.”

MLB The Show 22 arrives on Nintendo Switch, as well as PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on April 5.

The standard edition of the game is priced at $59.99 USD for the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PS4. The standard editions for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S go for $69.99 USD. Eager fans can pre-order MLB The Show 22 now on the PlayStation store.

In other gaming news, The Witcher will get a standalone, single-player GWENT game later this year.
