Miley Cyrus and Pharrell reunited for the official release of “Doctor (Work It Out).”
Clocking in at three minutes, the funky pop-rock joint is the perfect marriage between Cyrus’ full-toned vocal prowess and Pharrell’s sleek yet captivating production work. If there was any doubt before, “Doctor” serves as evidence of Cyrus’ artistic versatility as she continues to shine in the sonic spaces she chooses to sit in.
The track was rumored to have been created more than a decade ago for Cyrus’ 2013 record Bangerz, which featured several tracks produced by Skateboard P. A version of “Doctor” leaked in 2017, then was officially previewed at Pharrell and Louis Vuitton’s Men’s FW24 runway show during Paris Fashion Week earlier this January.
