Mike Dean revealed that he has been removed from the lineup of Kid Cudi‘s upcoming Moon Man’s Landing Festival.
The producer, who frequently works with Kanye West, took to Twitter to share the news but did not disclose specific details, including whose decision it was and what led to his removal. He simply tweeted, “Looks like I won’t be playing moon man’s landing this year. Someone cancelled me. Lol. Thanks. That’s all. #immature.” Dean also responded to several fan questions to clarify information, such as the fact that he was not “cancel culture canceled” and that this was “just some baby kid baby shit” and that he was the only one kicked from the lineup. He added that he actually changed his schedule in order to accommodate the festival, “What sucks is I canceled a mike dean solo show in la to play this.”
Whether this was a direct order from Cudi remains unclear, and Ye’s connection to the matter — seeing as he and Cudder now have major beef — is all speculation at this point.
