MiHoYo and Ufotable Developing ‘Genshin Impact’ Anime

Game developers miHoYo and animation studio Ufotable are teaming up for a Genshin Impact anime.

The two companies recently unveiled the news with a concept trailer teasing the art style of the adaptation, which is very similar to the original game that actually takes inspiration from anime. A release date was not unveiled but the concept trailer hinted at the collaboration being a “long-term project,” hopefully meaning that the anime will be released in several seasons.

In addition to the announcement of the anime, miHoYo unveiled the 3.1 update of Genshin Impact that will feature an expansion of Sumeru to support the game’s main storyline, along with the introduction of King Deshret’s Mausoleum, dungeons, new Archon Quests, more weapons, three playable characters and two fresh bosses — all of which is available on September 28.

Check out the concept trailer above and stay tuned for more updates.

Elsewhere in entertainment, the latest trailer for SPY x FAMILY season one part two features a new theme song.
