Middle Kids surprised everyone when, in 2018, they scooped Triple J’s prestigious J Award for Australian album of the year with their debut LP, Lost Friends.
The Sydney indie-rock outfit — Hannah Joy, Harry Day and Tim Fitz — saw that first LP crack the Top 10 on the ARIA Albums Chart and earn a nomination for the ARIA Awards, in the best rock album category.
