Now just three days ahead of their joint album’s arrival, Machine Gun Kelly (now officially mgk) and Trippie Redd have begun to prep fans for the release of genre : sadboy. The duo not only shared the project’s cover art on Instagram, but also unveiled the project’s first single “lost boys” as well as its corresponding music video.

The duo dropped off a short, black-and-white documentary last week, both officially announcing the joint project, and offering a closer look into the behind-the-scenes creation of it. JID makes a quick cameo at the close of the 16-minute video, potentially hinting at an appearance on the album.

After unveiling the album’s cover art last week, mgk and Trippie unveiled the album’s lead single “lost boys,” also the first track on the project. An anthemic emo offering, “lost boys” clocks in at under three minutes.

genre : sadboys, per Apple Music, is slated to consist of 10 tracks – each of which, in appropriate “sadboy” manner” is stylized in lowercase lettering. See the full tracklist listed below.
