Gladiator II has unveiled a collectible popcorn bucket that it’ll be offering to moviegoers upon hitting the theater next month: a silver helmet that sits on top of the bucket.
The helmet made its debut in the original 2000 Gladiator film on Maximus Decimus Meridius (Russell Crowe) and will likely return in the sequel flick. Fans, however, are more excited about getting a real-life version of MF DOOM’s iconic mask, which is based off of the movie’s helmet.
DOOM began wearing the mask when his solo career took off in the late 1990s. While his stage name is inspired by the Marvel character Doctor Doom, who also wears a mask, DOOM opted to borrow from Gladiator for his own.
The helmet appears to open at the top to allow people to grab a handful of popcorn without fully removing it from the bucket. Upon the reveal of the bucket, fans immediately began comparing it to DOOM’s mask.
Directed by Ridley Scott, Gladiator II releases in theaters on November 22.
