Young Thug dropped Business is Business last week, marking his first solo release since his 2022 arrest. The album’s producer, Metro Boomin has now dropped Business is Business (Metro’s Version) which includes two new tracks, “Sake Of My Kids” and “Money,” as well as altered cover art and a reorganized tracklist. The new tracks feature A-list guests, namely verses from Juice Wrld and Nicki Minaj.
The new edition of the album flaunts a reorganized track list, opening with “Jonesboro,” which is the third-to-last track on the original release. Metro took to Twitter to explain that “THIS IS THE TRACKLIST AND SEQUENCE I ORIGINALLY ENVISIONED FOR THIS ALBUM.” Other notable shifts include original opener and Drake feature “Parade on Cleveland” towards the lower-middle of the album, and “Mad Dog” and “Uncle M” up closer to the beginning.
“Money” sits right in the middle of the album, and kicks off with a sample of Monty Python’s “Money Song.” The beat drops nearly 20 seconds in and Thugger then unleashes his flow over the percussion-heavy beat. Juice takes the first verse (“My choppa sing it need autotune”), and Nicki the second (complete with a “Wait… Free Thug” bar).
“Sake Of My Kids” replaces Nate Ruess feature “Global Access” as the album’s closing track. Thug shows off his vocals more in the four-minute track, hitting high notes left and right over a steady yet high-energy beat.
