Metro Boomin Teases Collaboration With Travis Scott Ahead of ‘Heroes & Villains’ Album Release

Metro Boomin’s next album will most likely feature a guest appearance from Travis Scott. The mainstay hip-hop producer is readying for the debut of his long-awaited LP, Heroes & Villains.

Following 2018’s Not All Heroes Wear Capes, Boomin’s first studio album, the producer directed his attention towards collaborations, teaming up with 21 Savage for the 2020 record Savage Mode II, which served as a sequel to their 2016 EP of the same name. He also produced The Weeknd’s hit single “Heartless,” marking a rare venture into pop music for Metro, who predominantly works on rap songs.

In the lead up to Heroes & Villains premiere on December 2, Metro took to social media to share a video of him hitting the studio with Scott.

“When the sequel is even better than the first,” he wrote, tagging Scott in the caption.

Metro and Scott have collaborated several times over the past decade, beginning in 2015 with “3500” off of Scott’s Rodeo. They joined forces once again the following year on the Days Before Rodeo mixtape for the singles “Mamacita,” “Skyfall,” “Basement Freestyle” and “BACC,” and have teamed up for a number of tracks since.

Towards the end of the video, the screen flashed a message noting that the forthcoming album is the second installment in the Heroes trilogy, meaning that fans can look forward to getting another album from Metro sometime in the future.

Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains drops on Friday, December 2.

In other music news, Brockhampton went out with a bang on their “final” album The Family.
