Metro Boomin has officially announced the title of his upcoming album: Heroes and Villains.
DJ Holiday, a friend of the producer’s, took to social media to share a handwritten letter from Metro which read, “I can’t believe it’s been three years since we released Not All Heroes Wear Capes. Thank you for your continued support. Heroes And Villains Coming Soon!!”
NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES dropped in 2018 and featured high-profile contributions from Gucci Mane, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Swae Lee, Gunna, Young Thug, Wizkid, J. Balvin, Offset, Kodak Black and Drake. While a features list for Heroes and Villains is yet to be confirmed, reports point out that Metro was recently spotted in the studio with the likes of Freddie Gibbs, Westside Gunn, A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti, JID, Travis Scott, Busta Rhymes and Don Toliver.
Earlier this October, Young Metro and 21 Savage teased fans with a possible Savage Mode III project. The producer responded with an affirmative GIF to 21’s tweet that read, “I wanna drop an album so bad I just need the music.” The rapper then alluded to the producer’s recent appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, where he created a beat live, and wrote, “I see you making beats on podcasts can you send me some?” before Boomin replied, “Let’s run thru a quick 20 then.”
