Mercedes-Benz has revealed an update to its Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé, specifically its V8 models. The updated models are available in a variety of iterations, from the GT 63 4MATIC+ 4-door coupé to the more performance-focused GT 63 S 4MATIC+ 4-door coupé.
Notable updates include those made to the front facade, inspired by the new AMG GT Coupé, with the V8 models now boasting a larger air inlet below the AMG-specific radiator trim. Additional updates include the integration of vertical air ducts on the exterior of the front apron enhances its sporty look.
Performance-wise, the revised models come with the standard AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission, fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive and AMG RIDE CONTROL+ air suspension equipped with adaptive adjustable damping. Other standard features include active rear-axle steering, an electronically controlled rear axle locking differential and MULTIBEAM LED main headlights.
The interiors have been refined for comfort and convenience with an electric sunroof and EASY-PACK tailgate as standard features, as well as the introduction of wireless smartphone charging between the rear seats. The digital multimedia system, Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX), has been updated as well, with newly designed, AMG-specific displays and individually configurable functions. The standard Burmester surround sound system is accompanied by an optional Burmester high-end 3D surround sound system, designed to enhance the auditory experience with Dolby Atmos technology.
In addition to all of the new standard features, customers also have a variety of customization options to choose from, including the AMG Aerodynamics Package and AMG Carbon Exterior Package to name a few — the vehicle is also available in a new Opalite White Metallic paint color as part of the update.
Under the hood, the GT 63 4MATIC+ 4-door coupé delivers 585 HP and a maximum of 590 lb-ft of torque, achieving 0-60 mph in under 0-3.4 seconds with a top speed of 192 mph. As for the GT 63 S 4MATIC+ 4-door coupé, it boasts an elevated 639 HP, 663 lb-ft of torque and a 0-60 mph time of under 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of 195 mph.
At the time of writing, the updated V8 models for the AMG GT 4-Door coupé are available in Europe via select Mercedes-Benz dealers with prices ranging from €168,152 to €185,050 EUR or $178,757 to $196,721 USD.
