Mercedes-Benz AMG Is Releasing Two Special-Edition G63 SUVs in Japan

Mercedes-Benz is bringing two new special editions of the G-Class to the Japanese market. Continuing to push the G-Class as the most capable luxury off-roaders, Mercedes-Benz is offering up a Mercedes-AMG G63 Edition 55 and Mercedes-AMG G63 Magno Hero Edition.

The Edition 55 will see two colors (Obsidian Black and Opalis White) both limited to 100 units each where the SUV will feature upgrades like 22-inch AMG cross-spoke aluminum wheels, custom decals, a DINAMICA performance steering wheel, and a custom interior with carbon fiber trim. The Magno Hero Edition, on the other hand, comes in more vivid colors like Green Hell Magno and Magno Copper Orange, and sees Magnonite black accents, blacked-out badges, a spare wheel cover, and smoked headlights and turn signals. Like the Edition 55, the Magno Hero has also been given 22-inch cross-spoke wheels, a DINAMICA steering wheel with carbon fiber, and a custom interior in the form of diamond-stitched Nappa leather seats. The Magno Hero Edition is also limited to 100 units per different color variation.

Priced at ¥27.5 million JPY (approximately $204,000 USD) for the Edition 55 yen and ¥28.6 million JPY ($212,000 USD) for the Magno Hero Edition, those interested in Japan can find the special edition G-Class models up for pre-order at their local Mercedes-AMG dealerships.
