Having Meg step up as the Hot Girl Coach is a no-brainer after Tinder announced her Hot 100 No. 1 hit “WAP” with Cardi B was its certified freaky anthem of the year. The dating app exclusively revealed its “10 Essential Dating Anthems” of 2020 to Billboard this week, and “WAP” hopped to the top of the list. And Meg’s other Hot 100 chart-topper this year, the Beyoncé-assisted “Savage” remix, came in at No. 7 on the list.
“It’s been a challenging year, but we still see our members showing up with their next-level humor, creativity and honesty in their bios. For those who are having a harder time putting themselves out there, we want to give them an extra boost of confidence and that’s why we’re bringing some of the most important voices in culture to help support them,” said Nicole Parlapiano, vp of marketing North America at Tinder. “I’m so thrilled to be partnering with Megan Thee Stallion, one of the hottest stars on the planet, to launch the #PYOTChallenge. Her career is a testament to where putting yourself out there can take you.”
Tinder users who are at least 18 years old and reside in the U.S. and Canada (except Quebec) can participate in the challenge. To enter, contestants should post screenshots of their Tinder profiles on their public Instagram accounts and tag Tinder’s account while also using the #PYOTChallenge and #contest tags. Submissions will be accepted until Dec. 31, and the Tinder bios that dominate the most personality, most creative, most inspirational, most original and most real categories will be announced Jan. 17, 2021.
