McLaren Introduces Its Sleek Elva Roadster

Unveiling the lightest road car in its history, McLaren introduces the new Elva roadster. The car features an open-cockpit design with no roof or side windows.

The two-seater has a bespoke carbon fiber chassis and celebrates the 1960s McLaren Elva sports cars that were designed by Bruce McLaren. Additionally, the car contains one-of-a-kind carbon fiber seats and sintered carbon fiber brakes. The car includes two versions: one with a windshield and one without. By removing the windshield, roof and windows, McLaren wanted to offer a truly immersive experience. As open open-cockpit pair, McLaren’s Active Air Management System (AAMS) shelters passengers by
manipulating airflow while retaining the passengers’ connection to the elements.

The McLaren Elva boasts a 4.0 liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, 804 bhp and goes from 0-62 mph in under three seconds. For the new car, McLaren offers a range of personalization options. Among these options are interior leathers in a number of finishes, exterior paint colors, pin-stripe wheels and a gloss visual carbon fiber body that includes several color tints. For an extra touch of luxury, customers can also personalize their Elva with 18ct white gold or platinum badges or a 24ct gold engine bay heat shield.

Starting at $1,690,000 USD, only 149 units of the McLaren Elva will be available for order. The final price varies based on the level of customization.
