Mike Krzyzewski‘s legendary coaching career at Duke University may be over, but his desire to spread all of the knowledge that he gained from the game still remains. And so this holiday season, “Coach K” has been tapped by MasterClass to teach a class on values-driven leadership.
The Blue Devil legend is the winningest coach in college hoops history, and has quite an impressive resume of being a Naismith Hall of Fame coach, a five-time national champion at Duke and a six-time gold medalist as the head coach of Team USA basketball, so it’s safe to say that he’s a savant in his field of work. In his class, Krzyzewski will touch on the mentality and strategy behind leading a team to success through motivation, communication, trust and teamwork. He’ll also reflect on his experiences working with NBA legends like Kevin Durant, LeBron James and the late Kobe Bryant. like “I don’t believe leadership is just one person at the top of an organization. Instead, I believe that every person has the potential and responsibility to lead in every group they are part of in some way,” Krzyzewski said. “In this class, I will teach members how to hone their leadership style and strengthen their team’s bond to become a values-driven leader, ready to set their team up for success across their professional and personal endeavors.”
