Marvel Studios Reportedly Confrims Hire Of a MCU Time-Keeper

Marvel has always excelled in ensuring that all its projects and plots seamlessly integrate with one another in the MCU. In a recent interview with The Direct, She-Hulk‘s headwriter Jessica Gao has commente on how the show falls under the MCU timeline.

In order to make sure that all the storylines matchup, Gao confirmed that She-Hulk is “after-post-Endgame” and that Marvel has a person whose sole job is to “trace the timeline of everything” in the universe. She notes,

“It’s definitely after–post-Endgame. There actually is a Marvel person whose job it is to trace the timeline of everything. And we checked with him a lot about where the timing is. And so it’s like…the show is a few years after Endgame.”

Back when director Jon Watts was promoting Spider-Man: Homecoming, he revealed to Entertainment Weekly that there is “an actual scroll” that makes sure all of the events within the MCU are kept in-line, “There’s an actual scroll that they unrolled for me…one of my producers, Eric Carroll, it was his first job at Marvel to work on a timeline and see where things line up and see where things didn’t quite line up. Like, ‘Oh, that’s when Captain America is born.’”

Marvel fans can understand just how important keeping the timeline of all the films and TV shows can be. After the 2017 title card mistake in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Marvel execs have learned from their mistakes. When it came down to Avengers: Endgame, the timeline was certainly needed. As the Multiverse saga continues to expand and more projects are involved, the need for a timeline keeper is more prevalent than ever.

In other entertainment news, Harley Quinn has been renewed for a fourth season on HBO Max.
