Mark Zuckerberg appears to have given up on his potential fight in the ring with Elon Musk.
In a recent post on Threads, Zuckerberg candidly wrote about his thoughts on the fight stating, “I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious and it’s time to move on.” He added that he offered Musk a real date and continued, “Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead.” He concluded his message to his fans with, “If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I’m going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously.”
Zuckerberg has seemingly lost patience on Musks’ lack of commitment, especially since the Tesla founder was the first to kick off the exchange when he posted to Twitter, now X, “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol.” Both Zuckerberg and Musk later took to their respective social media platforms of choice to take jabs at one another. While Zuckerberg appears to have called off the fight with Musk, he did state that he is now “focus[ing] on competing with people who take the sport seriously.” Earlier this summer, he was seen training with UFC world champions, Alexander Volkanovski and Israel Adesanya while the world has not seen any updates from Musk.
