Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will add 48 additional tracks to its gameplay as paid DLC over the next two years.
As part of a “Booster Course Pass,” Nintendo is adding a number of remastered courses from previous games to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which the gaming giant announced during its Nintendo Direct presentation. The company will add six different waves of content, each complete with eight tracks, to the game by the end of 2023.
Nintendo is pulling the aforementioned remastered courses from across the full Mario Kart franchise, which includes Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart: Double Dash, Mario Kart DS, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Kart 7 and Mario Kart Tour. The first wave of new tracks, which will include Wii Coconut Mall, N64 Choco Mountain, Tour Tokyo Blur and five more, will release on March 18.
The Booster Course Pass will be available to purchase for $25 USD, though users with a Nintendo Switch Online plus Expansion Pack subscription will receive the new tracks automatically.
