Margo Price is back with a new song. It’s called “Been to the Mountain” and it arrives with a trippy music video directed by Courtney Hoffman. Check it out below.
“‘Been to the Mountain’ is part one of an introspective trip into our subconscious. It is the perfect continuation of my search for freedom in my art and freedom in the modern age,” said Price in a statement. “We also wanted to portray how an intense psychedelic experience has the potential to become a spiritual experience, and how that can change your perception of the world around you.”
Today, Margo Price has also announced her own Sonos Radio show and podcast, Runaway Horses, which features an interview with Emmylou Harris on its debut episode. Future installments will include guests Bob Weir, Swamp Dogg, Lucius, Amythyst Kiah, and Bettye LaVette. “The thing about runaway horses is that you can really never truly break them. They are incredibly unpredictable,” explained Price. “I hope that the conversations on this show help you feel a sense of freedom, too.”
Price is currently touring in support of her 2020 album That’s How Rumors Get Started and her Live From the Other Side EP. On October 4, her debut memoir and first-ever book, Maybe We’ll Make It, will come out via the University of Texas Press as part of the American Music series.
