Maren Morris glittered like a star during her performance of “The Bones” at the 2020 CMA Awards on Wednesday (Nov. 11).
The singer, sparkling in a sequined deep-cut V-neck gown, began her hit song with the image of a crescent moon behind her, her five backing band members performing from socially distanced spots on stage alongside her.
“When the bones are good, the rest don’t matter/ Yeah, the paint could peel, the glass could shatter/ Let it rain ’cause you and I remain the same,” sang the 30-year-old, who had already won two trophies when she took the stage to perform. “When there ain’t a crack in the foundation/ Baby, I know any storm we’re facing/ Will blow right over while we stay put/ The house don’t fall when the bones are good.”
