Manchester United have made an approach for RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.
United have been shaky at the back all season, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to strengthen his defence at the next available opportunity.
Frenchman Upamecano is contracted with Leipzig until 2023, meaning the German club are under no pressure to sell.
But Upamecano does have a €45million (£40m) release clause in his contract, which will appeal to the Red Devils.
BILD says Man United are one of three clubs who have registered their interest in signing Upamecano.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently spoke out about Upamecano, admitted he was excited to see him play against the Red Devils in the Champions League.
