Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane in recent weeks and it seems that the Red Devils have reached an agreement with the Spanish club.
According to El Chiringuito, the Red Devils have a total agreement with Real Madrid regarding the 79-cap French international.
The 28-year-old will be a free agent next summer and Los Blancos are under pressure to cash in on him this summer. They will not want to lose a player of Varane’s calibre on a free transfer and Manchester United are looking to make the most of the opportunity and snap him up.
SL View: Varane could have Van Dijk-esque impact
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to bring in a quality partner for Harry Maguire and Varane would be a sensational addition for them.
The 28-year-old is undoubtedly one of the best defenders in world football and he could have a transformative effect on the Manchester United defence. The Frenchman is at the peak of his powers right now and he could make an immediate impact.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for the Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho as well and it seems that they are aiming to bridge the gap with cross-town rivals Manchester City by signing top class players this summer.
United finished second in the Premier League table last year and it remains to be seen whether they can go all the way next season.
