Madison Star is a quickly rising force in the rap industry, and on the way, she’s seeking to empower fellow women to achieve their goals too. The Westchester-born artist has dropped a new track fittingly titled “For the Girls.”
Offering a fresh take on a classic song by hip-hop’s Eve, Star drops bars about working hard while exercising patience, knowing that you’ll achieve your goals in time.
“Better let them know you that girl for real / And in time it will show,” he raps. “Patient with your gift, in time it will grow / What Michelle say? We get high when they low.”
“For the Girls” arrived over the weekend as Star’s first single since the release of her debut mixtape, FREESTYLE: THE MIXTAPE. She’s also gifted fans an official music video that sees her explore Japan’s fashion hot spots.
