Machine Gun Kelly took aim at Jack Harlow in his latest “Renegade Freestyle” release.
Released over the weekend, the two-minute track hears MGK deliver his own take on the JAY-Z and Eminem “Renegade” beat from 2001. About halfway through, he calls out Harlow and namedrops the Kentucky rapper’s latest album Jackman., accusing him of the stealing the flow of one of modern music’s biggest artists. “I see why they call you Jackman / You jacked man’s whole swag, give Drake his flow back, man,” MGK raps. “I eat rappers like Pac Man / Must I regurgitate and show you who’s in my stomach from the last dance.”
The diss is seemingly unprovoked, although many see “Renegade Freestyle” as a response to Harlow’s lyric in “They Don’t Love It” that reads, “The hardest white boy since the one who rapped about vomit and sweaters / And hold the comments ’cause I promise you I’m honestly better than whoever came to your head right then,” naming himself following Eminem — a rapper who MGK had a highly-publicized beef with just a few years ago.
