As revealed on Tuesday alongside the tracklist, the first single from Mac Miller‘s Balloonerism lost project has landed. Arriving on streaming services for the first time ever, “5 Dollar Pony Rides” is here at last.
The metaphorical love song clocks in at almost four minutes long and, like the rest of Balloonerism, was recorded around 2013-2014.
“Let me give you what you want (Need), ooh / And maybe later, what you need (Need), yeah / I remember, girl, you used to have fun (Need), yeah / Now I ain’t seen a smile in a while,” he croons on the chorus. “Heard you’re feelin’ pretty lonely (Need), yeah / Your daddy shoulda got you that pony / Let me give you what you want.”
While the project has leaked before, Balloonerism is set to get its official global streaming release on January 17, two days before Mac’s birthday. Other titles on the album include “Funny Papers,” “Transformation” and “Tomorrow Will Never Know.”
Stream “5 Dollar Pony Rides” on Spotify and Apple Music now, and tune back in when Balloonerism drops next Friday.
