Luxury Brands Company Tapestry Reviewing PR Agency Support

NEW YORK — Tapestry, the luxury brand holding company that started as Coach, is reviewing its PR agency support, PRovoke Media has learned.

PRovoke Media understands that the global company — which owns  Kate Spade New York and Stuart Weitzman in addition to Coach — has already launched its review.

Several of the industry’s large PR firms are in the early stages of pitching for the business, according to individuals familiar with the review.

Tapestry currently works with Teneo. The company’s brands, however, have had relationships with a number of agencies over the years including Wednesday Agency, which handled Stuart Weitzman’s advertising, and creative agency Riot, which has worked with Coach.

Founded in 1941 as Coach, the company changed its name in 2017 after buying Kate Spade earlier that year and Stuart Weitzman in 2015. Tapestry’s revenue for the 12 months ending March 31, 2023 was $6.6 billion.

Tapestry this year is rolling out an updated ESG strategy to meet loftier goals. The “Fabric of Change” plan aims to decrease total greenhouse gas emissions by 42.5% by 2030 and be net-zero by 2050, according to Fashion Network.

Tapestry did not respond to request for comment.
