Studio Ghibli and Lucasfilm have confirmed a crossover collaboration that takes anime fans to a galaxy far, far away. The Star Wars collaboration was initially teased earlier this week and now it appears that the animated project is already available on Disney+.
Lucasfilm took to Twitter to announce the animated short, titled Zen – Grogu and Dust Bunnies. The Mandalorian‘s own “Little Yoda” seems to be the subject of the plotline, facing encounters from the dust bunnies from Spirited Away. The crossover not only sees Ghibli take on Star Wars, but the setting seems to incorporate one of the studios’ very own.
Grogu’s first appearance was in the premiere episode of The Mandalorian. The little mascot quickly became a global phenomenon as he would train as a Jedi and become an integral part of the Star Wars universe. The official announcement on Twitter reveals that the hand-drawn animation crossover, Zen – Grogu and Dust Bunnies will arrive on Disney+ starting on November 12.
