Yesterday, the Milwalkee Bucks defeated the Phoenix Suns, taking home their first NBA championship victory since 1971. The crown jewel of the NBA finals win is the renowned Larry O’Brien Trophy, but it’s a little sweeter when it comes in a bespoke Louis Vuitton case.
The Louis Vuitton travel case was hand-crafted in the house’s historic Asnières workshop outside of Paris, France. The trunk features Louis Vuitton’s emblematic monogram canvas and was fitted with brass fixtures. Additionally, the inside of the case is coated in a rich cobalt blue.
The outside also harbors a large “V” in white with blue and red details, reminiscent of the NBA logo. Louis Vuitton is the first official trophy case provider of the NBA, as their multi-year partnership launched the LV x NBA collection last May, under the artistic direction of Virgil Abloh.
In related news, the NBA x Louis Vuitton backboard and basketball defines sport luxury.
