This past weekend drew in locals and international travelers alike to Chicago’s annual Lollapalooza. Taking place in the lakeside Grant Park, attendees saw performances from Lil Baby, Dua Lipa, Machine Gun Kelly, J. Cole, Big Sean, Charli XCX, Metallica and more.
Highlights included the first-ever solo set from BTS member J-Hope, who performed 18 songs from his debut album Jack in the Box.
Lil Durk, meanwhile, suffered an injury during his performance after he was hit in the eye by some pyrotechnics. The rapper said he will be taking a break to focus on his health.
In the aftermath of the star-studded weekend, festival organizers have confirmed that the event will be returning around the same time next summer. Lollapalooza will take place in Chicago’s Grant Park once again from August 3 to 6 in 2023.
While it’s still too early to hear about headliners and performers for the 2023 rendition of the festival, some hotels have already assembled their hotel packages for next year, offering exclusive merchandise, transportation to the festival and more.
