UK rapper Little Simz has announced that she will be heading on tour across North America, starting in September this year.
The Mercury Award-winning artist took to social media on April 10, writing: “It’s been a long time. Appreciate your love and patience. Excited to announce my NO THANK YOU North American tour!”
Since Simz released her critically-acclaimed album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert in 2021, life has been crazy for the musician. Having picked up the 2022 Mercury Prize award for the album, the project featured hit records such as the vibrant “Introvert,” soul-rap gem “Woman” with Cleo Sol, and the delicate love letter, “I Love You, I Hate You.” And while the record also gave Simz a Best New Artist award at the 2022 BRIT Awards, the LP was actually Simz’s fourth studio album.
Following the past release, Simz also dropped a surprise album in the form of NO THANK YOU, a record that was smaller in scale than Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, however, the project was exclusively produced by Inflo and still incorporated similar sonics, such as live orchestra elements and a full choir for added substance.
Now, celebrating the release of NO THANK YOU, Simz’s North America tour will commence in Chicago on September 20, before heading to cities such as Atlanta, Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, and Montreal. The tour ends in New York on October 13, with a show at Terminal 5.
Tickets for the tour go on sale on April 13 via Little Simz’s official website.
