“The Blind Pig” centers on the 42-year-old Ann Arbor, Michigan music venue which, like so many others, is financially crushed under Trump’s watch.
Airing nationally during Sunday’s Steelers – Browns NFL game on CBS, the clip is voiced by co-owner Joe Malcoun, co-owner of the Blind Pig, and wraps with the punch of “Sabotage.”
“A lot of restaurants and bars that have been mainstays for years will not make it through this — this is Donald Trump’s economy,” explains Malcoun. “My only hope, for my family and this business, and my community, is that Joe Biden wins this election.”
With its iconic, Spike Jonze-directed “buddy cop” music video, “Sabotage” is one of trio’s best-known works. The song was introduced to a new generation of fans through its prominent placement in the rebooted Star Trek films.
