Linkin Park‘s unreleased track “Lost,” which was originally recorded while writing the 2003 album, Meteora, has now been released with a new animated music video featuring vocals and imagery of late lead vocalist of the band Chester Bennington.
The release of “Lost” will arrive alongside a special 20th anniversary reissue of the Meteora album, containing legendary tracks such as “Faint” and “Numb” from the American rock band via a number of new formats. A number of demos, B-sides, live shows, and footage will also be available in the limited-edition super deluxe box set available on April 7.
Mildly resembling the anime art styles of the 2009 “Breaking The Habit” music video, the hyperreal animations were directed by Maciej Kuciar and pplpleasr, and produced by Shibuya and AI generation company Kaiber.
Speaking on coming back together after Bennington’s tragic passing, Mike Shinoda noted that “there’s no tours, there’s no music, there’s no albums in the pipeline.” Their last performance together as a band took place in honor of their friend and bandmate, Bennington.
