Lil Yachty‘s already been cooking in the studio this year, recently flexing his artistic versatility with collaborations with Faye Webster on “Lego Ring,” YUNGBLUD on “When We Die” and Chief Keef on Lyrical Lemonade‘s “Say Ya Grace.” On this new music Friday, Boat dropped off his first solo offering of 2024: a jazzy, psychedelic cut dubbed “A Cold Sunday.”
Produced by streetwear label Aris Tatalovich, the track finds the rapper reflecting on his life, releasing a smooth two-minute flow over a soulful jazz sample; it sounds like a cold Sunday.
“It’s a cold Sunday to complain / I hold it in until it rain / I fought demons after fame / I spent millions on terrain / I treat my b**** just like Diana / Pretty princess, hold the Fanta,” he spits.

“A Cold Sunday” comes with a clean, minimalistic AMD Visuals-directed music video, in which Yachty delivers the lyrics in front of a white background, donning a white tee and baggy jeans.
“It’s us,” he signs off.
