Lil Uzi Vert scores the first No. 1 hip-hop record on the Billboard 200 with Pink Tape.
The 26-track record debuts with 167,000 equivalent album units in its first week, including 154,000 streaming equivalent album units (210.39 million on-demand streams of the songs; 2023’s largest streaming week for any rap, R&B or hip-hop project), 11,000 in album sales and 2,000 in track equivalent album units. Pink Tape marks Uzi third No. 1 effort following 2020’s Eternal Atake and 2017’s Luv Is Rage 2.
Other new entries in this week’s top 10 are Aespa’s MY WORLD at No. 9 with 40,000 equivalent album units and Rylo Rodriguez’s Been One at No. 10 with 35,000 equivalent album units.
Elsewhere on the chart are Morgan Wallen at No. 2, Peso Pluma at No. 3, Taylor Swift at No. 5 and Wallen again at No. 5. Making up the bottom half of this week’s top 10 are SZA at No. 6, Gunna at No. 7 and Swift a second time at No. 8.
