Lil Nas X has debuted a series of parody billboards promoting his debut studio album, MONTERO, slated for release on Friday.
Several billboards featuring the chart-topper popped up across Los Angeles on Thursday, with humorous messgaing that plays on typical law firm advertisements. Each iteration asks one of four questions — “Do you hate Lil Nas X?”, “Are you single, lonely, and miserable?”, “Gay?” and “Do you miss the real America?” — in large black lettering, followed by the phrase, “You may be entitiled to financial compensation!” The billboards then direct viewers to Montero‘s official wesbsite.

Earlier this month, the “HOLIDAY” rapper posed for now-viral pregnancy photos in anticipation of his album, complete with a very realistic baby bump and an ethereal flower crown. “SURPRISE! I can’t believe I’m finally announcing this,” he wrote on Instagram. “My little bundle of joy MONTERO is due September 17, 2021.”
Montero includes 15 total tracks and employs features from Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, Jack Harlow, Miley Cyrus, and Elton John. Lil Nas X has already released two songs off the upcoming album: “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” and “Industry Baby,” featuring Harlow.
In tandem with the album’s debut, Lil Nas X has announced that he will also be releasing the music video for “That’s What I Want” on Thursday evening.
Elsewhere, Post Malone has shared the lineup for Posty Fest 2021.
