Lewis Capaldi’s new album, Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent, is currently outselling the rest of the Official Album Chart Top 20 combined, and is set to land in the Number One spot.
Capaldi’s second album dropped on May 19 and now, less than a week since its release, it’s already grabbed over 68,000 chart sales and is on its way to trumping the rest of the British charts.
Ed Sheeran is currently sitting at the top of the charts following the release of his new album Subtract, which dropped on May 5 and quickly became the fastest-selling album of the year so far.
Three songs from Capaldi’s Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent have already reached the Number One position in the official UK singles charts; “Forget Me,” “Pointless,” and “Wish You The Best.” Now following the official album release, Capaldi’s latest LP is expected to reach the same levels of success as his debut album, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent.
Capaldi’s debut album is an undoubted record-breaker in British chart history, having passed one million UK chart sales a little over a year since its release, while also featuring the hit record, “Someone You Loved,” which is now the most-streamed song in Official Chart history.
