Adding to the #ReleaseBatgirl fan campaign, actress Leslie Grace recently shared Batgirl behind-the-scenes footage. The starring actress took to TikTok to share a montage of clips from pre-production and the set of the now-canceled DC film.
Originally scheduled to release on HBO Max this year, the project directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (Bad Boys for Life) was scrapped alongside a wide array of Warner Bros. Pictures titles. It is interesting to note, the budget for Batgirl shot up to $90 million USD due to COVID-19 protocols, and the film has already completed filming.
Grace captioned the post with “I couldn’t resist,” and can be seen getting her makeup done, rehearsing fight choreography, and doing her own stunts. Clips also show co-star Brendan Fraser, as Firefly, preparing for his villainous role.
