Leeds are closing in on the signing of Sean McGurk from Wigan Athletic, according to The Times journalist Paul Joyce.
Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa seems determined to bolster his ranks at Elland Road this summer.
A deal to sign Junior Firpo from Barcelona seems close (Leeds Live), and links with Cagliari ace Nahitan Nandez refuse to go away (La Nuova Sardegna).
Now it seems as though the Yorkshire outfit are looking closer to home.
Leeds closing in on McGurk
The Times’ journalist Paul Joyce claims that the Wigan ace could be imminently set to move to Elland Road:
Leeds United close to a deal for Wigan teenager Sean McGurk. Fee of around £175,000 has been discussed but transfer may yet be settled by tribunal.

McGurk is incredibly talented. The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has real quality. He is still very raw, but all of the basic ingredients are there.
The young starlet is technically gifted, making him ideally suited to Leeds. He has all of the physical attributes required to play in the Premier League and, just as importantly, Bielsa’s intense system and set-up.
£175,000 for McGurk would be a real bargain for Leeds. However, whether Wigan would receive more after a tribunal remains to be seen.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the teenager if he ends up at Elland Road. He’s one to keep a close eye on that’s for sure.
