Latest ‘Super Pumped’ Trailer Sees Joseph Gordon-Levitt Take Audiences on Uber’s Thrilling Ride to the Top

Latest ‘Super Pumped’ Trailer Sees Joseph Gordon-Levitt Take Audiences on Uber’s Thrilling Ride to the Top

The newest trailer for the Joseph Gordon-Levitt-led anthology series Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber gives audiences a glimpse of “the notorious bad boy of tech.”

Levitt sits in the driver’s seat as Uber CEO Travis Kalanick in the Showtime series, which is loosely based on Mike Isaac’s 2019 nonfiction novel of the same name. While Uber is on the rise to the top of its game, Kalanick shows no regard for the chaos that he has left in his wake. The series follows the recklessly stubborn Kalanick as he betrays those in his closest circles in pursuit of money. However, his endeavors prove to be unsuccessful as he was forcefully removed by his own company in a board meeting.

The teaser begins with the young entrepreneur speaking with Uber’s co-founder Bill Gurley, played by Kyle Chandler, announcing that he will never be taking orders from anyone and is willing to do whatever it takes to get his way. Uma Thurman plays The Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington who becomes the first female member on Uber’s board of directors. Gordon-Levitt is joined by Elisabeth Shue, Jon Bass, Bridget Gao Hollitt, Virginia Kull, Amanda Brooks, Annie Chang, Erinn Ruth, Mishka Thébaud, Babak Tafti, Darren Pettie, Noah Weisberg, Mark Gessner, Kerry Bishé and Joe Kelley Dauten.

Check out the trailer above. Super Pumped releases on Showtime on February 27.
