Larry June Reflects on “Jan 14th”

Larry June Reflects on "Jan 14th"

Larry June had quite the 2024, complete with standout singles “Meet Me in Napa,” “Like a Mack” and “Dreams,” and driven home by his Doing It For Me LP which dropped in early August.

Just about two weeks into 2025, the rapper has unveiled his first music offering of 2025 – a one-off cut entitled “Jan 14th.”

June delivers a run of classically introspective and reflective bars, specifically paying homage to his friend OG Maco, who passed away on December 26.

“I done lost another close friend / You don’t know how it feel to lose a close friend / I wasn’t on good terms with my close friend / But to this day I’m still thankful for my close friend,” he spits.

The two-minute cut also arrives alongside its official music video, set inside June’s aesthetically pleasing abode. At the time of writing, “Jan 14th” is only available to stream on YouTube, though June, as revealed in an Instagram caption, plans to move the track over to Apple Music and Spotify. Stay tuned.
