Lancey Foux Links With 9lives for New Track “ABU DHABI”

Lancey Foux Links With 9lives for New Track "ABU DHABI"

Following on from his last track, “NUK3,” with Luci4 and Lazer Dim 700, Aotearoa producer 9lives has teamed up with British rapper Lancey Foux for an all-new cut, titled “ABU DHABI.”

The genre-fusing track blends elements of Afrobeats, drill and electronic on 9lives’ signature experimental production slate. “This one is for the tastemakers and the innovators,” the artist said in a statement. “I made this record with Lancey because he’s a visionary pushing the sound and culture into new avenues. It’s surreal, I’ve been a fan of his for so long now, and it’s come full circle.”

The single comes with a fast-paced music video, in which Foux delivers his bars in a slew of quick cuts between colorfully lit scenes. “Took her out the party, she was grippin’ on my car key,” he raps. “Put her in Ferrari, now she wet, on tsunami/Had to wipe her down, I took her shopping in Bulgari.”

“ABU DHABI” is only 9lives’ latest collaboration. The producer has previously put out tracks with the likes of Trippie Redd, Lil Nas X, Odetari and more. Notably, he’s credited with introducing “sigilkore” to North America thanks to songs like “I LOVE YOU HOE” with Odetari and “GO (Xtayalive 2).”
