Lana Del Rey’s father, Rob Grant, is breaking into the music business. The opulent artist will be releasing his debut album Lost At Sea later this month, a project that will feature two tracks with his daughter.
Grant has already put out a few maritime-inspired singles of his own, including “The Mermaids Lullaby” and “Deep Ocean Swells.” His latest release, the titular track “Lost at Sea,” is his first to feature vocals from Del Rey.
The song was co-written by Grant and Del Rey and produced by Luke Howard. It also features music from the Budapest Art Orchestra. Grant doesn’t sing himself, only performing instruments to back his daughter’s voice.
An ethereal, summertime music video has debuted to pair with the release, naturally, showing Grant and Del Rey lost at sea on a sailboat.
