The Dubai Police have recently welcomed a new addition to their fleet: the Lamborghini Urus Performante. This addition represents the ongoing collaboration between Dubai’s Lamborghini dealership and the Dubai Police, marked by a special ceremony at the Dubai Airshow.
Paolo Sartori, Regional Head of Automobili Lamborghini Middle East and Africa, ceremoniously handed over the keys of the Super SUV to Major General Ahmed Mohammed bin Thani, the acting commander-in-chief of Dubai Police. This event coincides with Lamborghini’s 60th anniversary and builds upon the previous delivery of an Urus to the force in 2022. “We are delighted to continue our collaboration with Dubai Police, supporting them in their crucial public safety mission,” stated Sartori.
Like the Urus Performante recently provided to the Italian State Police, this example is equipped with a twin-turbo V8 engine that boasts 650 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 190 mph.
However, this isn’t your typical Urus Performante, as it’s been specially adapted for the police force. The vehicle features livery that is a blend of classic green and white and features the police logo on the hood and side doors. A 360° blue LED light bar and electric siren are fixed to the rear spoiler. Inside, the vehicle is custom-fitted with an armored gun box, a fold-down message display, a special compartment in the trunk for service equipment and a defibrillator for emergency first aid response.
“The new Lamborghini Urus Performante will support Dubai Police in their commitment to better serve residents, maintain social safety and security, and provide services in popular tourist destinations,” shared Major General Ahmed Mohammed bin Thani.
