Lamborghini and Babolat are back with the next evolution in their high-performance padel collaboration. Following the success of the BL001, the two brands now introduce the BL002, an accessible yet advanced racquet designed for padel enthusiasts and supercar fans.
Set to launch in April 2025, the BL002 builds on Lamborghini’s carbon fiber expertise and Babolat’s mastery in racquet sports. Weighing 360 grams, the racquet features an ultra-rigid monocoque frame constructed from 3K carbon and Koridion foam, materials shared with Lamborghini’s supercars. This combination optimizes energy restitution, ensuring both power and precision in every shot.
The BL002 range will be available in two Lamborghini-inspired colorways — green and black — with a limited production run of 5,000 units. Unlike its predecessor, which was crafted in Sant’Agata Bolognese, the BL002 was fully developed at the Babolat Padel Studio in Barcelona, marking a new phase in the brands’ partnership. Lamborghini’s engineers traveled to Spain to contribute their expertise, particularly in materials and manufacturing techniques.
“This partnership represents the fusion of two distinct worlds — racquet sports and luxury automotive engineering,” said Ranieri Niccoli, Chief Manufacturing Officer of Automobili Lamborghini. Meanwhile, Eric Babolat, CEO of Babolat, emphasized that the project reflects a “constant quest for innovation” and aims to bring high-performance racquets to padel players at all levels.
The BL002 will be available for purchase in April 2025 via Babolat’s official website and select retailers worldwide.
