Lake Street Dive drops out of Gasparilla Music Festival, with no refunds available

Bad news for Florida fans hoping to catch Lake Street Dive at Gasparilla Music Festival on Sunday: the band won’t be there.

Lake Street Dive took to social media channels on Saturday afternoon to announce that they had to cancel their headlining slot “due to illness.”

“We are so bummed to not be there and sending all our love,” a post shared on the Lake Street Dive Instagram account read.

Fans who purchased tickets received notification of the cancellation Saturday, along with an update that Atlanta rappers Killer Mike and Big Boi would be replacing the Boston-bred indie act.

The festival will not be issuing ticket refunds, according to Gasparilla Music Festival spokesperson Michelle Gutenstein Hinz.

Organizers shared a post on their Instagram account Saturday, wishing the band a “speedy recovery.”
