Lady Gaga is keeping the momentum going in Hollywood. According to Variety, the publication has learned from sources close to the production of Netflix‘s Wednesday, that season two will see a cameo from the singer.
While it is currently uncertain what exactly Gaga’s role will be in the next season, sources have revealed that originally the production team wanted Gaga for a much larger role, though it ultimately did not work out. The second season of the show is currently filming in Ireland. Gaga’s role in Wednesday would mark her most recent acting project to date.
The Wednesday news come after the actor starred opposite of Joaquin Phoenix in Joker: Folie à Deux. She has been previously nominated for an Academy Award for best actress for A Star Is Born and has been nominated three times for best original song. When asked about a potential Gaga cameo for the second season last year, Jenna Ortega told Variety at the time, “I’m sure Netflix would love that.” A particular dance scene from the fourth episode of the first season gained a lot of attention on TikTok following its remix with Gaga’s “Bloody Mary.” Ortega is slated to star once again alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo.
