Within the NBA has cemented himself as one of the best ball-handlers and point guards in the league. However, earlier this season, when the organization unveiled its NBA 75 ranking, Irving was noticeably left off the list.
Since the announcement, fans far and wide questioned why this was the case. In October, HYPEBEAST reported that the seven-time All-Star and NBA Champion was supposedly left off the list, despite being one of the best contenders for the list. Fans were quick to point out that online press material was already prepared to announce Irving as one of the top 75, leaving many to wonder why he was no longer appointed.
For the first time since the list has been unveiled Irving finally spoke out about the issue, “I think I’ll leave it to the conspiracy theorists. I think I was on the list…but I guess I’m not. Maybe I’ll just wait 10 years, 20 years from now…hopefully with a few championships under my belt.” Some fans believed that his listing was removed due to his vaccination stance for COVID-19. Take a look below at his full response.
