Sam Zuchero and Andy Zuchero’s film Love Me, which debuted at Sundance last year, has an official trailer that sees stars Kristen Stewart and Steven Yuen as robots who want to be alive.
The trailer of the film sees a buoy, played by Stewart and a satellite, played by Yuen, finally meet after humans have been extinct for many years. The satellite and buoy only come in contact after the satellite orbits the planet containing all of humanity’s knowledge. The two only have the internet to guide them as they learn what it means to be alive and be in love. In the age of AI, the film is a nod to exploring digital identities and through live-action, animatronics and classic animation, Love Me tells a story of intimate connection and transformation. While humanity is gone, connections are remain as legacies live on.
This marks the first time the pair of actors has worked together. Up next on Stewart’s docket is a vampire drama titled Flesh of the Gods alongside Oscar Isaac and Yuen is expected to appear in Bong Joon Ho’s highly-anticipated Mickey 17 with Robert Pattinson.
Look out for Love Me arriving in theaters on January 31.
